Alamo Village, Brackettville, Texas. Movie set built by rancher, James T. "Happy" Shahan in the late 1950's so John Wayne could shoot the Oscar-nominated movie The Alamo in 1960. Numerous other westerns have been lensed here including Bandolero! (Raquel Welch), Barbarosa (Willie Nelson), Lonesome Dove (Robert Duvall & Tommy Lee Jones), and Rio Diablo (Kenny Rogers).
